Martha Myers |
I live
in Florida just north of Tampa and I have been stamping for about
9 years (gasp!). In my "normal" world I am a Speech/Language
Pathologist and reading specialist for my local school district.
I began stamping as a hobby with the idea that it would save
me money (gee...I'd never have to buy a card again!). Well, thousands
of dollars later, I stamp now for the sheer enjoyment of the
art and the people I've met. I consider myself a "technique
junkie"
I love to try new techniques and products and
I have amassed a considerable collection of stamps and supplies
that overwhelm me at times.
Fortunately for me, I live with a very supportive husband (the
kind that rolls his eyes whenever I show him my newest and greatest
acquisition) and my youngest son who is now a senior in high
school. I also have two older sons (ages 20 and 23) and NO PETS.
I love college football, watching movies and am an avid
reader.
Along with stamping/scrapping and book and paper arts, I also
love to attend stamping conventions and take art classes. About
a year ago I took some technology classes and became involved
with digital photography and that started my interest in scrapping
and digital art. |
| I love combining
traditional techniques with technology to try to stretch my creativity.
In the end though, I always find myself reaching for that perfect
stamp to tie everything together. I am very fortunate to have
met some really great people and teachers throughout this "journey"
people
that I now call friends and who have enriched my life. That,
for me anyway, has been one of the greatest gifts I've received
as a result of stamping. |

A former school teacher and librarian,
I am currently a stay-at-home mom with many part-time pursuits
relating to scrapbooking. I am thrilled to be designing for scrampingcentral.com,
in addition to scrapbooking.com and Frances Meyer. A scrapbooker
and stamper for over 6 years, I also teach private and group
classes in my home. I have always loved crafts such as rubber
stamping and dried flower crafting, but fell in love with scrapbooking
once I got started. I love combining the art, writing and photography
in order to preserve memories.
I have had layouts published
on the Creating Keepsakes web site, Ivy Cottage Creations Magazine,
and have had other tips and ideas published in CK magazine.
I enjoy trying new scrapbooking
techniques, especially anything related to paper tearing and
distressing, stamping, inking, chalking - the shabby chic look
is my favorite.
When not scrapbooking or teaching, I also enjoy yoga, reading
fiction, and being with my family. I have a four-year-old son,
Aidan, a newborn daughter, Quinn and husband, Wayne, who is a
civil engineer and avid photographer. Also part of my family
are two cats: 11-year-old Hamlet, and the one year old and spunky
Max.

| Someday,
I would like to own a small studio where I can create and teach
classes. I have created my own product called Chalk Cloths, which
is part of my home business called Littlewing Creative Arts. |

Mou Sarkar |
I'm Mou, Mou Saha-Sarkar.
Born and brought up in India, I moved to USA in December 1999
right after getting married.
Painting has been my life-long hobby for which I have won several
contests, been published and won national scholarships. My work
has been exhibited in national as well as international galleries.
I happily shelved my degree in Clinical Psychology and a career
in counseling after my daughter was born in 2002. I took up scrapbooking
in mid-2003 to make a baby book for my daughter and I haven't
stop since.
I first submitted my work for a contest by Simple Scrapbooks
in August 2004 for which I won the grand prize and the album
got published in a book, "Scrapbooks To Cherish" (July
2005). I've also been published by scrapworks.com and Tampa Tribune.
Presently, I work as an instructor of card-making, scrapbooking
and altered art at Michaels and aspire to publish my own books
and launch my own design line someday. |

I have always been
interested in family history. As a teenager I kept a journal
and when my oldest child was born I started keeping a journal
for him. So when scrapbooking started becoming popular I was
very excited.
I love crafts- I sew, crochet, cross-stitch, quilt and embroider
and now scrapbook. It is the best of both worlds- journaling
and creative crafting. I love the creativity involved and especially
love all of the great embellishments and techniques.
I have 4 kids that I scrapbook for: Alex,8, Austin,7, Corinne(a.k.a.
the princess) 5, and Adam, 2.
My husband and I have been married for 13 years and now reside
in PA. |

Shirley Duerst |
My name is Shirley Duerst and I live on a 700 acre Century dairy
farm on the outskirts of Verona, WI, which is near Madison. My
husband, Mike, farms in partnership with his brother. Our two
children, Spencer and Grant, do daily chores on the farm, attend
elementary and middle school, and play soccer. I spend my day
working at a skilled care nursing facility as the Director of
Activities, which I have done for twenty years. I am active in
the local and state Activity Director Associations in the roles
of membership chairman and treasurer. Along with my full-time
job I have also done home party sales with The Comforts of Home
and Mary Kay.
When not working I like to be
creative. Over the years I have done a variety of hobbies to
express my creativity and interests. Some of my favorites have
been: putting puzzles together, coloring with colored pencils
in coloring books, making home designs and decorating on architectural
computer programs, scrapbooking, and designing cards on the computer.
I also enjoy playing the piano (purely for fun), cross-stitching,
gardening (my thumb is barely green) and reading fiction.
|
|
About four years ago I discovered
the world of stamping. It began with some thank stamps on my
home party sales receipts and now I have a wide array of stamps
and accessories which are used for card swaps, invitations, greeting
cards, and other fun creations. I will never have to buy a card
from a store again!
I get my ideas from attending
stamp camps, reading publications, designing bulletin boards
for work, and on-line newsletters. Buying and using stamps has
become a huge passion for me. I love to create a variety of ideas
using one stamp with accessories and color. Friends, family,
residents and coworkers sometimes will ask me to do little projects
for them, which I happily do.
I am excited to be able to share
my ideas with others along with expanding my creative energies.
I hope you enjoy my cards.

The need to create
stuff - it's a compulsion that started for me as a little girl.
As a child, I would take discarded things and make something
new out of them. I started painting in high school and college,
were I received a BS in Psychology. Still searching for myself,
I returned to school to become a registered nurse.
After the birth of my first child, I did not have enough time
to dedicate to large paintings; but the compulsion to create
was still nagging at me, until I discovered scrap-booking. While
searching for a way to make my pages more creative, I signed
up for an introductory to stamping class. Well, that was two
years ago and I have not been the same since! My compulsion has
turned into an obsession and I'm enjoying every minute of it.
I live in Mesa, Arizona, am married to John, whom I've know since
high school, we have two sons, Sean (7) and Conor (4) and a 5-month-old
daughter, Megan. I'm a stay-at-home Mom, and as busy as I might
be with three children, I make time to stamp every day. It keeps
me sane -- well as close as I can come to being sane! I'm
a technique junkie and am always looking for new ways to use
my art supplies. No object is safe from alteration. I look forward
to sharing my art with you. |

Cami Bauman |
After I left the
corporate world and moved around a few times I found myself needing
a creative outlet. I was introduced to scrapbooking in April
of 2003 and have been amazed at how very much I enjoy creating
layouts for both scrapbook pages and cards. I dived into the
craft head first and haven't looked back! Stamping, working with
clay and creating altered art are also crafts I enjoy. As a paper
crafts artist, I try to pick up on cutting edge techniques and
see how they'll fit with my style. I love challenging myself
with new and different products.
I am a published scrapbooker/stamper/card maker whose work has
been selected for several idea books as well as monthly publications.
I also teach scrapbooking and polymer clay classes at the local
A.C. Moore.
I have a wonderfully supportive husband, Tom, who even built
me my own studio! We will be married 10 years this year and have
2 beautiful girls, Lindsay is 4 and Jessica is 2 years old. They
are usually the target of my photo shoots. My other loves include
being a Southern Living at HOME consultant, making jewelry and
shopping! |

A native New Yorker, born and
breed, I live in upstate New York. Married with no
children, except for the furry 4 legged kind that say meow,
my husband brought RubberStampMadness into the house 18 years
ago. My obsession, however, didnt take root
until several years later, though at the time I did start a collection
of dragon and cat images. Our local stamp store was
too far to be much of an influence on me, but I started attending
rubber stamp conventions in the mid-90s. This opened a
whole new world of possibilities. Looking back, the turning point
of when this became more than a hobby for me was when the owner
of Stamp Zia encouraged me to go beyond cards. One
class with Zana Clark, and I felt like an artist, even if I really
wasnt! All it takes is someone believing in
you, and youd be surprised at what you can achieve.
In my real life,
Ive worked for a large computer company (doing testing
or simulations), and now for a smaller software company (also
doing testing
.). Im a technique junkie I even
subscribe to a newsletter of that name and Im always
experimenting with old and new stamping
supplies. I suppose that I am a tester at heart
at both work and play.

I have been scrapbooking
for about 7 years. First was introduced to scrapbooking when
invited to a Creative Memories get together. I loved the concept
but not really the CM products (except the albums). So I sprung
out on my own to learn more techniques.
Began actively selling sets on ebay a few years ago ... now sell
sets here and there. My most popular paper piecing set was "If
you were a booger, I'd pick you" a very funny piece!
I have been in and hostessed about a million swaps and now have
begun focusing on page kit swaps in an advanced scrapping group.
I am a SAHM and love it. I recently began grant writing for a
non profit autism organization.
I prefer square pages
- 6x6 being my favorite but I also use 12x12 and 8x8.
Never had a layout published. Never been on a design team (until
now). |
I also
just got accepted to the 1 Creative Bug DT. I have won a few
contests recently.
I have never designed for a scrapbook company nor website.
I have an insatiable desire to learn new techniques and teach
others what I know.
I live in Nevada, in high desert country. At the foot of Lake
Tahoe and Heavenly.
I like to scrap, stamp, and hang out with my family. |

My name is Lisa
Hess and I live in Freehold, NJ with my husband of 16+ years,
my two children, Alex 15 and Tori 12 and our four-legged children,
Anakin and Bandit.
I am a technical instructor for a software company based out
of Oceanport, NJ where I teach people how to troubleshoot the
networked environments. Whenever I have free time I can always
be found in my studio working on some kind of project. I've always
liked to do some sort of craft, though I never learned how to
sew (my husband has to sew on his own buttons). I discovered
the world of scrapbooking in 2003 and soon stamping followed.
I have been obsessed with both ever since. It is my passion to
create something so fantastic that I hear people say WOW when
they see one of my creations.
I love to make pendants out of game pieces using different types
of stamps and inks. My collection is quite extensive concentrating
on time/clocks and faces. I've recently been published in RubberStampingIdeas.com.
My family has grown to understand the papercraft world and has
a new appreciation for what I love to do. |

Molly Dufrane |
My name is Molly
Dufrane, and I live in Great Falls, MT. I have been scrapbooking
as a hobby for about 3 years, although I have always kept diaries
and journals with memorabilia. I have four children: Brittany
is 13, Tucker is 11, Barrett is 8 and Lillianna Grace is 3. They
keep me busy and I am fortunate to be able to be a "stay
at home mom"! My husband, Larry, is a chef who in charge
of catering for a local restaurant/banquet facility.
While scrapbooking is my first love in the paper arts world,
I also very much enjoy making cards, mini books, altered objects
and the like. I have won several contests, both online and in
real life, but have yet to be published in a magazine. This is
my first official design team although I have worked at 2 different
scrapbook stores and designed layouts for both of them. I also
taught my own classes at those stores.
My other hobbies include reading, crocheting and a 25-year obsession
with the band U2. I collect Italian charms and scrapbook supplies! |

I am
46 years old and reside on Cape Cod. I have been stamping for
7 years and it's been my primary avocation since the first time
I picked up a rubber stamp. I was a happy stamper until I heard
Stacy Jullian speak one morning and I realized I had years of
photographs to scrap from my former profession as a professional
entertainment photographer. I have been busy getting those memories
scrapped ever since.
I am happily married to a carpenter and currently have a cat
in residence. My oldest son is married and attending college
in Missouri and my two younger sons are on the West Coast attending
to their educations.
I enjoy all styles of stamping but love simple and whimsical
styles and work with "cute" styles most often. I enjoy
exploring and trying out new techniques and am always looking
for a new tool, technique, gizmo or new "must have"
stamping or scrapping toy to try. My dislikes? In scrapping,
any pages made so complicated and cluttered by the scrapper that
you lose the photos and the meaning behind them. In stamping?
Again, clutter in design. I'm all about intentional simplicity. |

Hello! I am Sandra
Liddell. I live in Salt Lake City, Utah. I have been scrapbooking
since middle
school, of course then it was very basic. The industry was very
different! In High school I spent a lot of
time doing genealogy. Finding out so much about my ancestors
and their stories further fueled my desire
to scrapbook so that their stories would not be lost. It has
been in the last year that I have really become
addicted to scrapbooking and stamping.
My three passions in life are: my husband, my children and scrapbooking.
Although, my husband would debate the order of that list! I am
lucky to have a supportive husband who loves photography. He
takes
most of the excellent photos that fuel my scrapbooking.
Genealogy, stamping and sewing are my other favorite hobbies.
I love being able to incorporate these
hobbies into my albums. |

Brenda Marks |
Hi, my name is Brenda Marks,
and I've been crafting since I could reach up on my mom's sewing
table and steal scraps. (I remember stapling fabric together
to make doll clothes.) Nowadays I refrain from thievery to feed
my hobby!
My love of paper led me to making
collaged greeting cards. I disliked my own calligraphy and mentioned
this to a friend. She said I could find some verse stamps at
a rubber stamp store: I went in to buy a "happy birthday"
stamp and kept going back. That was about eight years ago.
Right now I live in Silverton, Oregon, and the closest stamping
store is a 30 minute drive. I "need" to keep plenty
of supplies at home because of the distance. At least this is
what I tell my husband. So far he hasn't complained: he's incredibly
supportive and has even attended stamping conventions with me.
He can correctly use the term "embellishment" in a
sentence and often provides feedback when I am working on a project.
